Wavering Place Family Session

Family mini sessions always have a way of slowing life down, and our beautiful day at Historic Wavering Place was the perfect reminder of why I love the sweet and simple style that so many Columbia, SC wedding photographers carry into family work too. Clean light, real smiles, and honest moments never get old. This family is extra special to me because I have photographed them from the very beginning, their little girl was one of my very first newborn sessions! So watching her grow and seeing how she now runs, laughs, and grabs her parents’ hands with so much joy made the whole day feel calm and full at the same time.

Historic Wavering Place is known for its soft natural light, wide green spaces, and timeless Southern charm. The simple grounds made it easy to keep things relaxed as we moved from the old oak trees to the open lawn, a setup that works just as well for families as it does for engagement photos in Columbia.
