There’s something timeless about a summer wedding in the south, and Liz and Patrick’s day was just that—classic, heartfelt, and full of joy. They tied the knot at the beautiful First Presbyterian Church in downtown before heading to their reception at one of our favorite spots: the Millstone at Adams Pond. As Columbia, SC wedding photographers, we’ve seen all kinds of weather, and while July can bring the heat, this day felt surprisingly perfect. Liz is an art teacher—something we instantly bonded over since I used to teach art, too—and you could see her creative touch in the details throughout the day. The soft colors, the floral textures, and the elegant flow of the whole event made it one to remember. Also, Liz is a baker and MADE her own reception cookie cake, and I’m still dreaming about those cookies. Patrick’s calm, steady presence balanced Liz’s bright, artistic spirit, and together they made magic in front of the lens. Their connection felt so natural—it made capturing genuine moments effortless. They’re now headed to Augusta to start their new life together, but we’re so thankful they chose us to document the beginning of it all.
