Caroline and Nate- Main St. Columbia Engagement Session

With the very sad news of The Whig closing soon, it feels fitting to share Caroline and Nate’s engagement session. I always ask my couples to think of locations that have meaning to them, whether it’s their first date, best date, the first place they said “I love you,” etc. However, usually, I assume there will be SOME light 😂 When Caroline and Nate suggested The Whig, a local underground dive bar, I knew it had ZERO natural light (because again, underground), but I was completely down for the challenge. I love that Caroline and Nate have so many special memories and date nights at the Whig. I think for any Columbia local, The Whig holds lots of memories and fun times. I’ve personally never met anyone who doesn’t like The Whig. I think anyone can remember their friends bringing them for the first time and being slightly sketched out by the stairs leading down to the bar, but knowing it has to be good because of it’s reputation. A Whig burger is a Columbia household name (it’s even in our About Me section here on our website 😂). I’m so glad we got to take some photos here for them, and obviously Caroline and Nate are incredibly happy and we cannot wait for their November wedding at 1208 Washington!
